Not when I'm done with it. I customise colours, fonts, layouts, spacing, imagery placement, and add CSS tweaks that make your site feel hand-crafted for your brand. Think of your template as the architectural bones - I'm bringing in the interior design that makes it unmistakably yours.
"Can you really understand my business in one day?"
You'll complete a detailed questionnaire before our day together, so I arrive already immersed in your brand voice, ideal clients, and business goals. Plus, you've already done the hard work of building your business - I'm translating what you've created into a website that sells it beautifully.
"I'm worried about the tech side..."
You focus on the big-picture decisions (which photos, what messaging feels right), and I handle all the Squarespace settings, custom CSS, mobile optimisation, and technical setup. Zero tech knowledge required from you.
"What if I need changes afterward?"
You'll leave with a fully functional website AND a personalised video walkthrough showing you exactly how to make simple updates yourself. Plus, I offer post-launch support packages if you want ongoing help.

On the day I will start by customising the template homepage with the content you have provided. I will then send you a link to view the site so we can check in and make sure you are happy with the overall feel. I will then work through the remaining pages you have chosen, add in SEO and make sure all the settings are correct for the website. Once they are complete I will let you know so you feedback (please note I don’t make structural layout changes to the template but we can adjust images, colours, copy).
At the end of the day I will send you an invitation to be a contributor on the site, once this is accepted I can fully transfer the site over to you. I will send you a personalised walk through video and you will also have access to my library of video tutorials so you can make changes in the future.

Once you book, you'll complete a questionnaire covering your business, ideal clients, design preferences, and goals. You'll also upload your content, images, and brand assets to a shared folder. I review everything thoroughly before our session so I can hit the ground running on the day.
If you choose the ‘Complete Customisation’ package I will be in touch a few days before the design day to send you brand style options. -
No, at the end of the day I deliver you a finished website ready to go live. I leave it for you to review and make any final changes before you decide to make it leave. I provide a step by step video on how to do this and if you have any problems I offer 14/30 days post-design support.

Your deposit is non-refundable but can be transferred to a future date with at least 2 weeks' notice.
If you cancel with less than 2 weeks' notice, you forfeit 50% of the total investment. -
Absolutely, as long as you upgrade before our scheduled day.
You'll just pay the difference between the two packages.

I typically book 3-4 weeks in advance, though occasionally I have last-minute availability. Once you're ready to move forward, I'll send you my calendar to choose your date.

No problem! I'll walk you through setting one up before our session. You'll need an active Squarespace subscription (you can start with their trial) and to have purchased one of my templates before we begin.

No, the template purchase is included in the Website in a Day service. You just need to specify your template choice when adding the package to basket.
You can also change your mind on templates ahead of the design day, I confirm final decisions a couple of days before.

I don’t connect websites to their domains to allow you time to make any changes ahead of going live but i do provide video help on how to do it yourself.
If you need help purchasing a domain or setting up Google Workspace/custom email, I can guide you through it, but the actual email service subscription is a separate cost from your website.

Absolutely, mobile optimisation is built into the service. I'll ensure your site looks gorgeous on phones and tablets, not just desktop.

Basic SEO setup is included (page titles, meta descriptions, alt text). I'm not an SEO specialist, but I'll implement best practices to give you a solid foundation.
If you want an advanced SEO strategy, I can recommend specialists.

It doesn't need to be perfectly polished, but it does need to exist. Think of it as an 80% draft – I required I can refine wording, tighten up messaging, and make suggestions on the day, but I'm not writing full pages from scratch.
As part of the package I provide a copywriting workbook and AI prompts to help create a framework that you can then build upon. If you're really stuck on copywriting, I can also recommend specialists.

You will need images ready before our day as we can't build a beautiful website around placeholder photos.
I can direct you to high-quality stock photo resources that match your brand. For the Custom package, I'll give you specific photo styling direction and suggestions for stock imagery.
If you need help putting stock imagery together I provide a Stock Image Add-On service.

For copy a simple Google Doc works perfectly. Organised by page (Home, About, Services, etc.) with headings to show hierarchy. Don't worry about making it "pretty" – I just need the words.
For brand colours I need hex codes and if you have specific brand fonts you will need to share those files with me.
For brand logos a PNG version with a transparent background works best.

That's exactly what the post-launch support period is for! Email me and I'll handle minor text edits, image swaps, or tweaks.
For the Semi-Custom package, you get 2 weeks of this support; for the Custom package it includes 4 weeks.

Yes! You'll receive a personalised video walkthrough showing you how to edit text, swap images, add blog posts, and make simple updates. Squarespace is designed to be user-friendly once you know where everything lives.

You absolutely can! I'll show you how to duplicate existing pages and maintain your design consistency. If you want me to build additional complex pages, I offer add-on services at an hourly rate.

Technically yes, but it's far more efficient (and cost-effective) to refine your brand identity before we build your website.
Changing colours and fonts after everything's designed means essentially redesigning the site. If you think you might want brand refinement, do it as part of the package.
